Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama in 1977, the beautiful and very talented Amanda Benson realized she wanted her career to be in acting at a very young and innocent age. She started her career out in dancing, and appeared in several local productions at the age of 6. After convincing her family to make the move to Los Angeles in 1992, she was quickly showing off her extraordinary talent in many auditions and even booking many small roles in movies. Amanda’s huge break came in 1999 when she got the recurring role playing Tara Maclay on ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’. She instantly had many fans adoring her work after seeing just how well she could perform. Amanda’s talent didn’t stop at just becoming a wonderful actress, she has also ventured into other areas of entertainment-based areas such as writing, directing and singing. In 2002 she wrote a screenplay of her very own called ‘Chance’. She not only wrote, but also sold the script and even took the leading role which made her directorial debut. In 2006, she again proved her outstanding ability in writing through ‘Lovers, Liars and Lunatics’ when it made its festival rounds. You can be certain that many fans are eagerly awaiting to see what will come next from the extremely talented Amanda Benson.
